CHANGER [IS]

Originally founded in 1999, Changer is one of the veterans in the metal scene in Iceland. The band is mainly rooted in thrash metal, but has also explored death metal. Changer has actually been on hold for quite some time, but 2022 is the time for a return to the scene – with new people and new music.

The band has had many line-ups throughout the years, but core members Kristján B. Heiðarsson (drums) and Hörður Halldórsson (guitars) have gotten excellent personnel for this next chapter in Changer’s history in the form of returning guitarist Unnar Sigurðsson (Beneath), bassist Magnús Halldór Pálsson (Forgarður Helvítis etc.) and last but not least singer Hlynur Örn Zophaníasson (ex-Shiva).

Changer released a new song, “Three to One” on February 4th, and is working on an EP to follow this summer.
